Girls' Camp: BOOT Camp

This week I was at Girls' Camp all week. Our theme this year was BOOT camp (Building Our Own Testimony). It was so great! I was in charge of all the certification stuff. We did all of it at camp, which rarely happens these days. So on Tuesday and Wednesday we did our certification classes. Then on Thursday we did a First Aid relay. All the youth leaders made themselves look cut up, burned, impailed, choking, dead, etc and we had the girls try to help them. I was so impressed with how well they did. They actually learned something and were able to apply it later. It was such a fun activity. The girls really loved it. Camp was a really fun time this year. You know how some years are just better than others, well this was one of those years. On Thursday we handed out letters to the girls from their parents and one from Heavenly Father, and they left camp and read their stuff alone. When the girls came back they were all crying and had been so touched reading their parents words. It was a really great experience for the girls. I love camp! I feel so blessed that I got to go. We are moving out of our ward in about 3 months and I am really going to miss these girls. I love them all so much. Camp is such a wonderful experience!!

Roy Aquatic Center

Yesterday we took Isabel swimming. It was so much fun. We have this local pool with fun toys and slides. We went with Ryan's mom and sister, Renee. Isabel was really unsure about the whole thing at first, but eventually warmed up to it. I think all the people made her nervous. She really enjoyed the slides. Ryan took her on the big curly slide (you can see part of it in the background). She loved it! So Ryan took her on it again and then I took her on it. She is slide happy! It was a really fun day. I love swimming!

House Update Again

This is the house: Ryan started roofing it this week.

This is our family room with the fire place. I love the windows, they were Ryan's idea.

So, Ryan thinks we could be in the house in about 4 months. I will really be suprised if we are in by Halloween, but we'll see. I am getting so excited. It's so fun to see progress.
