Kade and Michelle's Wedding

Yesterday Ryan's sister Michelle got married. She married Kade Sorensen. It was such a nice day. We were worried about the weather because it looked like rain and it even rained on the way to the temple, but it turned out to be so nice (just a little rain in the morning and then in the late evening). They got married in the SLC temple, the luncheon was in Bountiful, and the reception was in Layton (a progressive wedding). Michelle looked so beautiful and they seemed so happy. We are really happy to have Kade in the family. They are very cute together. Here are some pictures from the reception (I forgot my camera when we were at the temple). Ariel Cake

It was my niece, Clara's, birthday party today. She wanted an Ariel cake and asked me to make it. I have been working on it for days and days, and it came out so good. I am so happy with the way it turned out. On that note, I have decided to start making cakes as a little side job. For the first few months I am making them for pretty cheap, mostly just at cost. Depending on the cake, I am charging $35-$45. If anyone would like on or knows someone who would like on, please let me know. I love making cakes and, if I do say so myself, I think I am pretty good. I love this Ariel cake.

UP

Last night we took Isabel to her 1st movie, UP. It was such a good movie. I really enjoyed it and Isabel did too. I thought the movie was excellent. I really liked how they developed the characters and you felt like you new them. Isabel was so cute during the movie. Before we went she kept saying that we were going to the "magic movies". I'm not sure where she got that term, but it was cute. During the movie she would turn to me and say, "we are at the magic movie mom". It was quite the hit!

Joel McHale

Joel McHale

On Friday we went to see Joel McHale in SLC. It was so much fun. During his show he talked about his appearance on Conan. He said the next day the president of E called and said that Ryan Seacrest was angry with him about his comments and that Joel needed to apologize to Ryan. Joel called Ryan and said he was sorry and that no offence was meant. After a long pause all Joel heard was, "got you McHale" and then Ryan hung up. Joel was so funny, he then yelled to the ceiling, shaking his fist, "the Leprechaun got me!" It was so funny.
The show was really good. We had such a good time. I would recommend it.

I love my Boo

I love Isabel, who we call Boo, so much! She makes me smile more than anyone in the world. Being a mom is the best job ever. I have never been more tired or more emotionally drained than now (having a 2 year old), but it is worth every minute.
Yesterday Ryan came home from work and Isabel ran up to him and gave him a huge hug. While they were embracing she said, "oh daddy, you are my best friend". It was so cute! She says the funniest things.
The other night we were putting her to bed. After saying prayers we always have a family hug. During the hug she usually says, "they like me", refering to me and Ryan liking her. After saying that, she then fell back on her bed and exclamed, "I love me life". It was great! Where does she come up with this stuff? What a character.
I love her so much! I am really looking forward to having another little girl. I can't wait to see what this new one will look like. Thank goodness for little girls, and their funny comments.

Lucy or Lucinda

So, we have been planning on naming our new baby Lucy and we still are, however I have a little dilema now. I want all my kids to be named after a relative/ have a family name, but I don't know any Lucys. The other day my mother-in-law told me that her grandmother's name was Lucinda, which is a different name but cute. So, we could name her Lucinda and call her Lucy or we could just name her Lucy and say that she was named after her great great grandmother Lucinda. I am a little torn now. What do you think? Do you think Lucinda is a weird name? I kind of like it, but I am not sure. I am going to put a poll on my side bar, please take it and let me know what you think. Please be honest about the name if you leave a comment. If you hate the name say so, if you love it please tell me. Thanks for your help.

May Pictures

May was a good month. We did a lot of fun stuff. I thought I would just put pictures to show the entire month. So, here they are......We started off the month by having a yard work party (pulling out bushes). I am grateful for family members and their help. It would have been really bad without Sam (my brother) and Tim (Ryan's brother). This was an activity done a few times this month, Playdough. This was Sam's first experience with it, I am still not sure if he likes it or not. It was fun though. We used one of those egg slicers, it worked great.Isabel this month has decided she does not like to take naps in her bed. So, she has started taking naps in our bed. She also prefers Ryan's side of the bed. I found her like this the other week. I thought it was so funny. She looks so comfortable. We went up to the cabin over Memorial Day Weekend. It was so fun. Ryan's entire family was there. While there, we always go shooting. This is Ryan and his brother Tim looking like banditos. On a side note, Tim got engaged to Tiffiny this weekend. I am so excited for them.Me, looking a little thick around the middle, shooting Ryan's shotgun. I grazed a clay pigeon, but over-all I am really bad at shooting. We finally broke out the pool in May. This was the first swim of the season. Isabel was so excited. This little girl could live in water.
