Lucy or Lucinda
So, we have been planning on naming our new baby Lucy and we still are, however I have a little dilema now. I want all my kids to be named after a relative/ have a family name, but I don't know any Lucys. The other day my mother-in-law told me that her grandmother's name was Lucinda, which is a different name but cute. So, we could name her Lucinda and call her Lucy or we could just name her Lucy and say that she was named after her great great grandmother Lucinda. I am a little torn now. What do you think? Do you think Lucinda is a weird name? I kind of like it, but I am not sure. I am going to put a poll on my side bar, please take it and let me know what you think. Please be honest about the name if you leave a comment. If you hate the name say so, if you love it please tell me. Thanks for your help.

One of my favorite names is Lucy. Natalie was going to be Lucy or Natalie. I actually just like Lucy. It seems to be simple and cute.
I like Lucinda. I think it is really pretty. And obviously I am okay with shorteded names (ie: Lily from Liliana). Plus I like that Lucinda is a little different and you could easily call her Lucy still. Also, Lucinda Renee has a nice ring to it. That is my vote.
I agree with Emily ,its so nice to have a name that belongs to someone who came before you, and it does sound great with Renee. And Lucy is a cut nicname.
I like the family name Lucinda. I love family names and wish I had thought more along those lines with all of you kids (except Sam). Oh well, now our grand and greatgrandkids will have all of your names to use as family names. I vote for Lucinda and use the nickname Lucy.--MOM
I'm agreeing with the others...Lucinda is a cute name, and easily shortens to Lucy.
I agree with Em, Lucinda Renee sounds really cute!
All over it! Fantastic idea. You are brilliant! (and gorgeous)
I think Emily put it perfectly, I really like Lucinda:) Any suggestions for us???
Hey hey...we'll be having our babies pretty close to one another! I'm impressed you already have a good idea of what to name her. I think I like Lucy better...especially if it's what you're going to call her anyway. Lucinda kind of sounds like a character from a Disney movie (Not a bad thing necessarily), but my vote is for Lucy!
I'm feeling bad about my last comment, I hope you weren't offended! I think Lucinda would be cute too and very elegant!
What about Erika? That is the name you should use.
For reals, I think Lucinda is a darling name, and all of those old-fashioned names are back in style anyway.
