About Me

Here's the rules: Take 10 pictures, no cleaning before hand.......

1. Last real vacation you took:
Ryan and I went on a Cruise, this picture was taken in St. Marteen. It was so much fun. It was back in March.

2. Your closet:
okay normally it's not this messy (and my camera makes it blury).

3. Your kitchen sink:
normally I have dishes in it, but luckily I had done them in the morning. I am soaking laundry though
4. Self portrait:
Yikes! I'm a hottie.....

5. Favorite shoe:
This is what the foot of my bed alwasy looks like. I have two favorite shoes, the pink crocks and the old sandals from Africa. I've had them since I was 15 years old. I love those shoes. 6. Your laundry room:

Because I'm living with my in-laws I really don't have a laundry room. So, here are my baskets.

7. What you are doing right now (other than blogging):
Isabel is almost 2 year old and all she wants to do is watch either Cinderella (she calls her "rella") or SpongeBob. This is my life now, I'm so lucky!

8. Your toilet:
Today I'm cleaning the bathroom. It doesn't look too dirty, but it gets dirty fast. Something about a kid and a husband makes your toilets get dirty really fast......
9. Your refrigerator:
I'd say it a pretty standard fridge. Nothing too exciting there. It is very full though.

10. Favorite room in your house:

That would have to be my bedroom and more specifically my bed. Becasue we are living with my in-laws I don't have a lot of personal space, so my bedroom is the one place I have all to myslef.

Okay, so now it's your turn.... I'm tagging Emily, Michelle, Jessie, and Traci. I want to see your 10 pictures.

Lots of Progress, Bad pictures

If you'll notice I'm blogging at 11:10pm. Ryan and I just got home from laying our hard wood floors. He's being doing it most of the day, I've been helping since about 3pm. It was such a huge job, but it looks so good. It's kind of hard to tell what it looks like in these pictures becasue of all the sheet rock dust, but it is so beautiful. I just love it. I have to say, I am so happy I married Ryan. He is such a hard worker and so good at what he does. At about 9:45pm I was beat and had to finally sit down, and Ryan didn't stop, he just kept going. He is such a hard worker. I love that about him. The hard wood looks so good. I will post more pictures when it's clean.

Friends - I miss them

I have been thinking a lot lately. Growing up we moved a lot and so I don't have a lot of friends. When we lived in Sandpoint I hung out with a few great girls: Melani Boren, Melenie Kidd, Carolyn Buck, Erin Loutzenhiser, and Jessie Meigs. These girls were my best friends and we had so much fun together. I love them all so much. Well, I moved and so did some of them. We haven't all be together since ....... 1996 or 1997, I think. It's been so long. I miss those girls.

While in college and living in Provo I met Leslie Prisco. She and I clicked from the beginning. We worked together at the hospital. We worked graveyard shift together on the cancer unit. We had so much fun together. She and I did everything together. We went to school together, lived by each other, and worked together. It was great. Then, I went on my mission. She and I kept in contact and since I've been home we see each other at least once a year. She moved back home to Ohio while on my mission and now lives in Indiana. I miss hanging out with her. I love it when we get together, we just sit around and laugh. I miss that so much.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Ryan and we have so much fun together, but I'm lonely. Family is great, but I really wish I had friends close by. My sisters live close, but I don't see them that often becasue they live 45 minutes away. My mom lives down the road, but she's my mom (you understand, right?). The thing is, I feel like I'm all alone and no one wants to be with me. I know it's not true, but sometimes I feel like it's me, not them. I look at all the girls my age in my ward and wonder why they don't want to be around me. I'm funny, I'm not too bad looking, right? It seems like they are all friends with each other, and I want it so badly. I just want a friend to call me and say "hey, I'm coming over just to say hi, and no other reason". Other than my Sandpoint friends and Leslie, I've never had that really strong connection with anyone else. I have some good friends from my mission, but we've all moved on and rarely see each other. I know, it's a pity party for Renee, but I am so lonely. Venting helps sometimes, right?

Our weekend at the Cabin

This weekend we went up to our cabin in the Uintah's. It was SO much fun. Not everyone could come, so it was kind of quiet. It was just us and Steve and Liz, and Tim was there one night. We had such a good time. Isabel had so much fun. She swung on the swings, watched us shoot guns, went 4 wheeling, picked up shotgun shells, and her favorite activity: digging in the dirt. I have never seen a dirtier child ever. She was so gross. She was covered in dirt. It was really cute though, she was dirty and really happy. She had the best time. The cabin was so fun!

Ear Plugs - What a bummer!

As most of your know, Isabel had to have tubes put in her ears this past March. She loves to swim and I've noticed since summer has come and we have bee more active, her ears have been draining a lot. And when I say a lot I do not mean a little wax here and there, I mean there is a little stream coming out of her ears most of the time. I didn't think much of. I just thought the tubes were working great. Then the other day I remembered a friend telling em that their child with tubes had to wear ear plugs when swimming. So, I called Isabel's surgeon and asked about it. Sure enough they recommended that she needed them. I think even if she didn't they would have recommended them though, those people are always after my money. So, yesterday we when to the audiologist to have ear plugs made. Isabel cried and cried and then cried some more (yea, it was that big open mouth cry too, it kind of makes me laugh when she cries like that). While getting her plugs made the audiologist mentioned that her ears were really goopy and draining a lot. So, she had us wait and get her ears suctioned. Okay, yuck! We had to hold her down while the doctor stuch this long metal object in her ear. He suctioned out so much crap. I was a little embarrased, am I a bad mom becasue my daughter has nasty ears? So, the whole visit was just great. I involved a lot of crying and a lot of yucky ear stuff. So now she is on some ear drops to help dry them up, she hate them, but I hate the wax more.

Last night we gave Isabel a bath and had her wear her plugs so she could get used to them. She really loved them. Can't you tell from the photo? It was happy bath time. She is such a pill.
